Production is a bit subjective topic but anyways first of all you gotta have good idea of sound design, play synth and at-least know one DAW, i mean ONE DAW is enough if you want to produce a kick ass song, no need for fancy setup etc but you have to be a killer at your daw, lot of early birds dont side-chain well, dont balance the high , mid and low, dont give many listens and make so many fundamental and technical error that even-though they get the right feel but the production/mixing aspect of it sucks, In this abstract i will talk about FL STUDIO and how to learn it asap.
